Meet the speaker:
Caroline Brady, Executive Director
Friends of Cabrillo Marine Aquarium
Caroline Brady serves as executive director of Friends of Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, the fundraising arm of San Pedro’s most-beloved beachside attraction. Each year, Friends raises approximately $1 million through grants, Corporate Circle, membership, the Gift Shop and the best party in town, the Grand Grunion Gala! Support helps the Aquarium meet its mission to inspire exploration, respect and conservation of Southern California marine life.
Prior to the Aquarium, Caroline served as development director at Harbor Interfaith Services, helping the agency expand its footprint and services for the homeless and working poor. She also worked as a field deputy for then-Councilwoman Janice Hahn. As a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity, she helped raise funds to build 26 houses in Wilmington. She started her career as a newspaper reporter for The News-Pilot and Daily Breeze. She has three kids and lives in Long Beach. She just completed her second term on the chamber board of directors.
