DESCRIPTION:It's San Pedro's "Where were you when...?" moment.\n\nOn the ev
 ening of December 17\, 1976\, the 70\,000-ton Liberian oil tanker SS Sansi
 nena exploded in the Outer Harbor of the Port of Los Angeles when a hydroc
 arbon vapor cloud over the ship's deck was ignited by an unknown source. T
 he blast split the ship in three\, triggered an inferno that burned for da
 ys\, and resulted in widespread damage\, shattering windows for miles. Nin
 e people were killed and 46 were injured.\n\nJoin the San Pedro Heritage M
 useum on Saturday\, November 7\, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Wareho
 use Nine Bar (110 E. 22nd St. in San Pedro) for Sansinena Stories! This fr
 ee community storytelling event will feature a presentation\, speakers\, a
 nd an open mic session to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this catastr
