Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company today announces Un Tributo A Mexico, presented at Warner Grand Theatre in the city of San Pedro, for one night only. For the first time, the 50 member, U.S.A. premier Mexican folk ballet company brings their production: Un Tributo A Mexico, to San Pedro, California. Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company brings its high caliber representation of tradition and history with Un Tributo A Mexico in an evening that brings to life the rich and distinct culture of Mexico’s diverse regions.
Carnaval de Morelos, a rarely performed work outside of this south central region, blends the pre-colonial and Moorish traditions brought to Morelos by the Spanish into an elaborate and rhythmic presentation. There’s also an impressive, festive mosaic of dance suites from the states of Michoacan, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Guerrero, Sinaloa, Tabasco, and Jalisco. Adorned with colorful costumes, over 40 dancers portray the wonderfully distinct traditions that comprise Mexican culture.
The concert, which takes place on Saturday, February 25th at 7PM, will mark their 2nd free concert to residents of District 15 in Los Angeles.

Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company was founded by Jose Vences, in September 2003. A non-profit performing arts organization, the company was formed with the intention of advancing the field of Mexican folk ballet, building the public’s appreciation for the diversity and depth of Mexican culture and presenting high quality dance productions.
