Frank Potenza Trio

A dedicated educator as well as performer, Frank is a full Professor and Chair of the USC Thornton School of Music Studio/Jazz Guitar Department. He is responsible for the Department’s offerings in Jazz Guitar Pedagogy and Jazz Guitar Arranging and Improvisation and is the director of Trio Ensembles and the Wire Choir Ensemble.
Frank’s extensive stage experience includes concert performances with George Van Eps, Dizzy Gillespie, Mose Allison, Bill Watrous, Joe Sample, James Moody, Harry “Sweets” Edison, Bud Shank, John Pisano, Joe Pass, Kenny Burrell, Jimmy Smith, Eddie Harris, Brother Jack McDuff, Benny Green , Joe Diorio, Red Callender, and many others.
