The San Pedro Waterfront Arts District invites the community to join us at the next chapter of a new arts education series at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium called Cuatro@Cabrillo: Arts Adventures for the Culturally Curious. Join arts scholar Gregorio Luke as he leads us through three films by Oscar winning Mexican directors in seminars designed to promote a deeper appreciation of the arts of Mexico.

The 2019 film seminar schedule is:

BIRDMAN by Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu, Sunday, March 24th, 2019, 3:30pm. Perhaps the best film expression of magical realism, a literary movement that defined Latin American Literature.

SHAPE OF WATER by Guillermo del Toro, Sunday, May 19th, 2019, 3:30pm. Del Toro demonstrates a deep knowledge of the Monster genre but also the courage to transform it.
